About Vine
Debuting in January of 2013, Vine took the social world by storm as the Twitter-acquired mobile app introduced the easiest way to share short, looping video clips with your friends. It offered out-of-the-box Twitter integration and quickly became a staple social medium, creating instant celebrities, like Will Sasso, these people, and some cute kids. It was so popular, that Instagram quickly followed suit, by adding its own video feature in June of 2013.
Vines in Projeqts
We think Vines offer some pretty exciting potential for your Projeqts. Demo your product in 6 easy seconds. Illustrate a cooking technique for a recipe. Or make a stack of your favorite Vines for a quick compilation. The possibilities are endless! We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Support
While integrated HTML5 video has yet to enjoy full support on all browsers (*cough, Firefox*), the latest modern browsers like Chrome and Safari make embedding Vines in your Projeqt a breeze, in any theme! Just drag the Vine logo, a green “V”, over to your slides from the left side of your Create dashboard, or click “Add Content Here” and select Vine.
Other News
Some other improvements we’ve been working on this week include fixes for Vertical Theme layout issues and the troublesome LinkedIn slide. One of the challenges we face as an aggregator for so many services is handling outside changes. When LinkedIn altered their API, our CTO Chris Kief quickly scouted out the issue and produced a fix that handled their complex new authentication method. We appreciate your patience and please let us know if you see any services changes or inconsistencies.
